Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Richmond Handling brag

I'm going to have a little brag on behalf of my daughter.

We only started showing 3 years ago and this years Richmond is her last due to her age.  Meg was in the final short list for the 12-16 yr Gundog last year and hoped for a place  this year.

We are overjoyed that this year she WON the class under judge Trudy Short.

So, Discover Dogs at Earls Court is the next step for the Uk handler of the year!

We didn't see that one coming but what a fantastic way to end her JHA run!

well done, a win in real style! Congratulations, you must be very proud :)

I've seen the pictures on FB(through the tagging of 2 other handlers in the class), very well done :-).. Love your little Cocker..

Thank you, Meg has been told so many times that she needs a bigger dog for handling and so was really pleased to go through with her own dog.  It was lovely to have so many boys in the line up too.  Well done to all of them xx

I think all of the photos on FB should be viewable now as I made them public rather than friends now.

They are viewable, however I can't comment on any of them :-(  There are some great shots in there.. Do like the line up of the winning JH's, HC's face is a picture, beeming from ear to ear that smile..
Ooh and that Vizzie photo, brilliant :-D

I loved the HC photo too, he looks chuffed to bits, Meg was just stunned.  I think it finally caught up with her yesterday!

I can't take credit for these photos as I wasn't able to go.  There are lots of other handling and Stakes pictures in the albums

For those who want to look, the Richmond ones are here https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150303496249507.355587.807904506

many congratulations to your daughter!  I saw the final placings but sadly missed the all important handling of that age group!

Best of luck to her at the finals :-D

Lovely photos and a huge well done to your daughter. I saw another Junior Handler whom I recognised as well :-)

Huge Well done - a tough class and always the biggest class the 12-16 :)  A lovely end to her JH career - have to agree HC grin says it all doesn't it too and agree nice to see the boys in the line up.

Jess while not shortlisted or placed handled brilliantly as I know she was dreading being in this age group this year :)

Wrong initals, haha.. Meant to put JH(Jessica Horler) not EH(her sister).. Do you have any footage Rach of that day?
- By rachelsetters Date 15.09.11 08:16 UTC
Sadly Sue I don't :( I was holding Bentley and told to move from proper view!  but wish I did for her as her trainers said best they had seen her handle - so all the nagging from all sides is going in :)

- By rachelsetters Date 15.09.11 22:28 UTC
