Went to Tesco on Friday and there it was, half of one side of an aisle was devoted to Christmas.
Mince pies and Xmas cake - get it now before they run out !
The garden centre last Sunday had a fine choice of Xmas cards and 2012 calendars.
Also in Debenhams last week - boxes of crackers (the type you pull, not ones for cheese).
Do you remember when Christmas wasn't mentioned until after halloween and bonfire night ?! The good old days.

Saw the first Christmas ad on telly last night, complete with tree.

YAAAAAAAY!.......... so excited. I'm like a big kid when it comes to crimbo :)
Yep - went to Sainsburys this morning and the Quality Street and Celebrations were piled high - 2 for £10!!!
Humph! I find it totally out of order bringing Christmas in this early was very disappointed to also see cards being shown this early, for me it takes the excitement away as the build up is so loooooong. Humbug x 2 and it takes away the other seasons and makes you realise another year is getting closer to it's end.
I'd like to round everything up and put it back in the stockroom until November. :-)

I got an email from Vistaprint on Friday telling me to order my personalised calendars and Xmas cards at a fraction of the normal price.

Its not Christmas build up until the Coca Cola advert is on T.V.....Holidays are coming....Holidays are coming.......

I have already made my Christmas cards. and made a start to my fundraising things for class. & have our christmas night out organised and also the clubs christmas party part done!
I love Christmas but yes, it's only Crimbo when you've seen the Coca Cola advert!
Will have a whole litter this year that will be ready just in time for Crimbo, phew, not sure I want to be trailing puppies out into the snow on xmas morning!

Bah humbug last week Costco had Xmas trees up & lit plus aisle upon aisle of kids pressies. Also local Tesco seemed to have vast amount of frozen turkeys for sale, hope they weren't last years.

I don't do anything related to Christmas before December has begun. As has been previously stated - the magic disappears when Christmas begins in the summer :-(

105 days to go

Snap Harley, I try not to get too Christmassy - but as soon as it's December, I'm away & running - cards, newsletter, present ideas, tree decorated, the lot! :-D

My youngest's birthday is at the end of November so that has to be celebrated before Christmas can be considered.

bah humbug !

Went into Makro yesterday, one side of the aisle was garden furniture in the sale, the other side Christmas cards and decorations!!

Well I have just had an e mail from HR asking me to decide on my Christmas hamper choice from the company I work for.

I've been told I need to decide TODAY whether I am coming to the Christmas meal at my office, I know they need to get it booked but I just can't think that far ahead and anyway I hate shopping for smart stuff that will only get worn once so will give it a miss.

I love Xmas, BUT I think Lucy ( LJS ) may beat us up for even mentioning it :-D
As others have said..................Bah Humbug!!
That said I ordered a load of chrissy pressies for my boys last night off internet, so sad! But I want to be organised this year as I turn 40 in Jan and I'm gonna devote all of Jan to me, so not going to let christmas bills worry me. Booked the snowboarding holiday early this April so I'm out of the country for my birthday!! Shock horror!! Now grabbing new gear in the end of season sales for chrissy pressies!! And they WILL like it!!
Personally I prefer halloween, do the garden up as a grave yard, tweak it every year. Used say it was for the kids but they're 14 & 16 now so thats not going to wash for much longer!! Do think christmas shouldn't be allowed into shops though until halloween has been and gone!! By the time it gets here I'm sick and tired of it!
Did see the costco stuff though in August here!! And no tins of chocolates would make christmas in this house, unless I got hubby to hide them and when he's on night shift I'd be turning the house over to find them.
