a judge does a breed at ardinley in march this year, can they judge the same breed there in oct but for a diffenant socitey ??

That is down to the society, it is too close and silly decision for both the judge and the society but it happens and at open shows there are no rules except those set by the appointing committee.

It depends what the criteria for the 2nd club is but most give a distance & time factor. This may be 50 miles in the last 6 months but could be different, like I say depending on the club. Personally I think, it was very greedy for the judge to have accepted which ever appointment they were asked to judge, after agreeing to do the other. They will be judging more or less the same dogs & those who didnt do well, are unlikely/wont enter & those who did are most likely/will enter again.
I also think a judge shouldnt judge in the same area for about 18 months or 2 years..well thats what I kept to & it means your maybe only judging a dog that was probably a pup the last time...well thats my opinion.

Agree Lexy, I never judges more than once a year - think those exhibitors who did not do well will not try again and those who did feel they should not come again it you judge too close to your last appointment, so you could end up with no one at all.
