Congratulations, very cute :) I LOVE Colin for a cat, a freind had a cat called Colin and we talked about him like he was human...wheres Colin...oh he hasnt left a note again...did Colin say what time he'd be home for dinner...etc etc. It was hilarious and so funny,..made him seem to fit in with the family even more so if at all possible.

Oh you can't call him Kevin.... Kevin the gerbil... what an insult to a cat :-)
He is very gorgeous, I like the fb suggestions of Conkers and Cory :-)

I would call him Sooty.
My sister has a beautiful new kitten she calls him Rupert....I have taken to calling him Oscar!
I think he must have the soul of a passed on cat of another friend, looks nothing like him but the name just falls out of my mouth.
Perhaps it early (or not so early) onset of alzheimers for me.

I live with a Kevin and a Dave, (one human, the other canine). He can't be a Kevin, (not Ginger), looks like a Dave to me. ;-)

He's lovely. I think Alfie may suit him. :-)
I love those toy dogs aren't they fab. :-)
Little kitty is adorable, I like Dave, but you have discounted that now, what about Tommy?

Well we have decided and we did discount Dave but we kept going back to it and so that is what he will be called !!
Ahhhh Fab :-) It's funny once that name is chosen a week on and you can't imagine calling them anything else. Welcome Dave. :-)

I always meant to have a cat called George. As it happened I never got round to it--my last cat, Mr. P, was definitely not a George. So I ended up naming my son George instead. In his favour, he doesn't yowl or shed, but he's a bit big for curling up on your lap :-)

Good choice! My lovely pensioner silkie hen is Baby Dave

Aw sweet! A previous neighbour had a cat called David & we thought it was her OH's name who seemed very under the thumb (until we found out).
I wouldn't have classed myself a cat person but recently met a Rag Doll & totally fell for him.

I had an all black stray wander in and make himself at home I called him Erebus. Greek mythological character who was son of Chaos and husband to Night. Called him Eerie for short ;-)

Oh Congratulations Lucy....He's Gorgeous...! :)
He looks just like one of My Daughter's kittens that she hand reared from about 3 weeks old...I called Him Lucky Luke Sky-Walker...the kids called Him Snoop...! :)
I love the name Dave tho...
Our boy cats are Kane..Noah...Zeke..Murphey...and Fury...and we also have a Tommy.... a stray who turned up on our doorstep about 10 years ago and been with us ever since... :)

he's scrummy :)

Aaaahhhhh I hate this fashion for 'nerdy' human names for animals. Dave, Colin, Kevin all a massive thumbs down from me. Especially when your other two have such delightful names picked by such a nice person. You need a nice 'C' name in keeping with colour & theme. :-D
the best name i ever heard of for a cat(not applicable in this cuties case, hes an "oliver")was"the red baron"that tickled me for ages and i wished id thought of it for one of my gingers, who were maurice, perkins, sam and chunk!no comparison,is there!

When I was a nanny I asked the 3 yrs old what shall we call the new kitten and he said " Half a Minute" it wasn't till later I realised this was what his Mum would say to him when she didn't want to be bothered by him, the name stuck.

i have a 15 year old black cat called Wizz :)

I used to have a pair of tabby brothers, one was ginger and white the other all ginger I called them Benson and Hedges then I got a pair of black and whites and they were called Lambert and Butler, I must have sounded a right plonker out in the evening calling them in. ;)

What a lovely boy,I have a ginger boy, like you the only male in the family except for my husband, everybody said he was going to be very big, well he is tiny, your black baby looks rum.
