wondering if anyone would share their thoughts and experience. Tallulahs insurance renewal has just come through - at £56 per month! I am thinking this is a bit excessive, especially as the excess is £70, and I would need to pay 10% of the cost of any treatment.  Tallulah is a Vizsla and was 8 in July.  She is insured with More Than.  I like the piece of mind having her insured but just cant see that she would run up £700 worth of bills each year and am tenpted to just open a bank account to put this amount into.  would people mind sharing who their insurance is with and any good/bad experiences, More Than have been good as they pay for the life time of an illness rather than restricting the period for claims.  any info would be great!

Thank you:-)

I'll be interested in any reply's too, Spuds insurance will be up for renewal soon and I'm expecting it to go through the roof.

If you can be disciplined enough to put money into an account for your dog you might find it is a better bet than paying a hefty premium.

if needing MRI scan's the way one of my dogs di then 'putting money away' would not have helped. £2000-00 for a scan. within three weeks i paid out almost £3000-00 for one of my dogs, she is still on medication. I know some folk think that when dogs are insured that they get things they dont need. but, my girl needed her scan and what was wrong with her could not have been able to be diagnosed in any other way.  I have three with petplan and one with Axa.

I have an eight-year old cocker insured with Axa for £22 a month.
