Topic Dog Boards / General / Dog car question - S-Max?
- By LucyDogs [gb] Date 06.09.11 14:28 UTC
Hubby is looking to replace our Galaxy, he's thinking of an S-Max 2010 version. But the brochures never say how wide the boot is, so we don't know if our 2 crates will fit in, short of going to a garage with a tape measure! Anyone got one? We could do with knowing the internal width at the back (boot), and also the distance from the back of the boot to the back of the second row of seats. :-)

Have you looked on the manufacturer's website? They should have all the dimensions you need on there.

Go into the showroom to measure but as an ex Galaxy owner who had a cage made to fit it, I can tell you that mine would not have fitted into the S Max! ;)

When I was "shopping around" for my new car, I measured all the boots of all the cars on my list.

Sorry can't help on the dimensions but wanted to warn you to make sure you are comfortable in the car.

We had one (purchased new) and I loved the space in it, but boy was it an uncomfortable ride. I felt every single bump in the road. Having said that I do have a back condition, but it is the only vehicle I have ever been unable to travel in for more than a few minutes.

We have one will measure it later but I have to say I hate it, ita got a good engine and very good to drive if not a little firm, but it's realibilty is a joke it's in the garage more than out lots of very expensive non warranty faults.
