i mated my girl 4 weeks ago, she is showing signs of been in whelp but i'm just not sure if its a phantom , she is actually gaining weight around her middle and is very clingy,also looking for food but i have just fed her normally, do you think the signs have come too soon especially the belly getting bigger, when did your girls start to show , my vet won't scan until after 5 weeks , any advice would be welcomed ,

I had my daughters bitch here recently whilst she was in season/mated.  When she took her home she thought she looked different already and she was almost immediately much more affectionate.  Scanned at 4 weeks and in whelp with a large litter for her breed!

I wouldn't do very much different with her at this stage, just sensible amount of exercise and quality food.
