Urgh - what a few weeks.

Saturday 21st my pup (then 22 weeks old) was in perfect health - we went to bed only to awake to a white vomit everywhere.
We were due out - but i stayed home with her,she would not eat or drink so i had to syringe water into her.She managed a little chicken and rice in the afternoon, and by 9pm was ravenous and so had d half a scoop of ordinary kibble - all seemed well - but was not.She continued to be sick and runny stools and would not drink.Vets Monday - injections and anti biotcis - told to bring her back if she is sick again. She would not eat or drink all day,Tuesday morning she had a drink then vomited-back to vets,on a drip from 10 am - 5pm.Home during the night-force fed her tablets, which she brought up,but then she made a steady recovery - fantastic - giant breed puppy, was 3kilo's-after illness just 28 kilo's so she looked skin and bone.Stayed home all day Wednesday and Thursday and went camping on Friday (pre arranged for Wednesday but delayed due to her beong poorly, vet confirmed from bloods that she was not contagious).Went away until Tuesday - so far so good, brought up the odd bit of bile from eating grass.

Came home Tuesday - on Wednesday 3 other dogs we were away with have sickness and diahrea, then this afternoon my baby is ill again.Brings up her food, runny stools and wretcing, bringing up bile again. She must have now caught what the other 3 have - but is still so weak from last week.Im so very worried :-(

Oh dear doesn't sound very good.

Has the vet analysed the stool and vomit to see if they can be more specific about what is causing it ?

Hope things improve soon :-)

How is she doing? The change of water or being in contact with something nasty when her body was already under stress from her earlier stomach upset won't have helped.

I hope the vet has been able to sort things out.

Were there lots of dogs about who may not have been vaccinated or other wild animals/vermin the dogs may have been in close contact with?

Keep us posted.

Well after last week vet advised ti starve for 24 hours - which we did,all seemed well, started building up and back to normal - then today she is refusing to eat again.Sick - but normal stools.

Has managed to get her to eat some scrambled egg - vets tomorrow as this has dragged on so much , so worried about her - one of the big dogs is now very very runny
