Think I might go for a pair of these this year, but don't seem able to find a stockist where I can go and try them on. Can anyone tell me how the foot sizing is please - do they come up on the big or the small size? (Am probably looking at the Derwent.) My size varies, mostly dependent on the width.

I have the Derwent type and to be honest they're quite heavy / bulky. But still they keep me feet dry and warm :)

In my experience the sizing is pretty accurate to your normal shoe size. I am a 5 in most shoes and a 5 in Muckboots. Unless you've got incredibly wide feet, I find the Muckboots fine width-wise. Also bear in mind you don't need thick socks, like you do with most wellies, as they keep your feet toasty warm in even the flimsiest of socks.

I have Muck Boots too (the Derwent - and thank you to you know who :) :) ) - very comfortable and warm. Haven't noticed that they are heavy or bulky :). I dog walk in them quite happily :) :)

The Derwents do look a bit bulky, think that's what has put me off before. The Greta looks a bit less so, but the neoprene starts much higher so probably won't get them over the tree trunk legs. The Tack looks good on the boot, but no grip. Bah, this is why I wanted to try them on really.

Am also a bit worried about them keeping me too warm - my feet are normally like blocks of ice, but only to other people, they don't bother me LOL.

Moral : dont share your boots with others then they wont notice your cold feet !

I bought a pair last winterand love em! Soooo much better than wellies. I spend stupid hours a day in mine and feet are never wet, still bit chilly at times but that's just me.

The neoprene on mine starts below the knee and helps keep chill and keeps leggies warm and dry. In fact if they made a jumpsuit out of it I'd wear it for dog walking!! Feet are size 5 but boots are a 4 as quite wide and I use 1 pair of thick socks.

Oh thank goodness for this thread....it reminded me that the back of my wellies are split and I need to repair/get a new pair of boots.  Quite annoyed actually, they have split along the seam which goes up the back of your foot.  I would have expected it of a cheap pair but these were Hunters which usually last for years. :-(

Quite fancy a pair of Muck Boots though :-)

When I bought my boots I had picked up a pair of hunters but the lady in the shop warned me not to buy them. Apparently now made in china and they don't rate them anymore. Shame cause I really fancied a pink pair!!

I've had Muck Boots in the past and they didn't keep my feet warm at all, a few horse owning pals have abandoned them too as they are so cold, mind you, that is in heavy snowy conditions.

I'm another Muck Boot fan (had the Derwent, now have a pair of Tay's), and have found I wear the same size as I do anything else (I'm a men's 9).

My muck boots are size 6 which us what I normally am. They are very comfy & keep my feet warm. The shoes are the same and wide enough to accommodate (my) bunions!

6 months max :( shame because I love my hunters, they are really comfy but I have usually have to replace them after 6 months.
