Any thoughts anyone? I know Crufts do a special ex-racer class but what about showing KC registered ex-racers in normal greyhound classes? I have some beautiful dogs and I've read the breed standard through and through and they do match up. I'm not saying they match up 100% and perfectly but they match well. I also would be going to shows for the fun as a hobby, not expecting to place/become a champ!

Any advice welcome!

Problems you may face
All dogs shown under Kennel Club rules need to be registered with them and
Show greyhounds tend to be rather larger than racers.

Hi yes, in the process of registering with the KC and that's no problem. Both dogs are very tall though I was actually reading that a lot of show hounds are actually oversized now and the racer is actually more often in the standard height/weight bracket!

Are these problems the type that would stop you placing/winning or get you kicked out of shows altogether though! THat would be seriously embarassing...!

Greyhound class sizes are so small on average its very unlikely not to win a card so no worries about being thrown out!

One of the latest shows.... here

The top winners do tend to be full measure !

Thanks for your replies!

I'm in Ireland so any shows would have to be here. I was at the IKC Champ show over the weekend and there was ONE greyhound entry!
