I have today found out that Petplan do not automaticly cover puppies for death even when the policy is continued from the 4 weeks free insurance, you have to take the death cover as an optional extra, Very worrying, as I presume many people like me would not go through all the small print, but just assume the cover is for everything the 4 weeks free was, not the case.

Both the KC & PetPlan free 4 weeks insurance cover death by injury or illness (up to £1500), but neither cover it automatically when you extend the cover; it's in their higher-standard cover, not the basic (cheapest) plan.
