Hi any of you Dobe people. I run a ringcraft class and recently had the most beautiful chocolate Dobe join us. She is exceptionly well bred and was winning well at Open and champ shows. Then she had her first season and boy what a change. Her owner is so upset, he just dare not show her, she turns on anyone who gets anywhere near her rear end - and she it means it. It is such a shame, I have had Cavaliers be a bit funny and jumpy after and during seasons, never had one attempt or succeed in biting and I have never had a big breed so would welcome ideas.

i think sometimes if theres a temperament fault in dogs it seems to come out in force after a season, --ive seen several bitches going well in the ring , come their first season they have either become spooky or aggressive, some get over it, others display it here and then, but are never he same again, you might find it worthwhile checking if the mother-aunties etc where ok in the ring, hopefully she might just have a headache :(

You could try SEPIA which is an homeopathic remedy
just in case it is hormonal. This remedy is used to re-balance the hormones after a season and is indicated for use when the temperament is unpredictable and vicious. It is worth a try,I have had results after a season from Sepia when the bitch has become moody and disinterested.
