I don't doubt that this has been discussed before and I have missed it but can anyone tell me if there are any reasons NOT to give the bitch the herpes vaccine?

If it is just a case of it MAY prevent fading puppies, then I will let her have it, but my last litter was in 1988 (!) so I am well out of touch. CHV was not heard of then, nor was the premate testing or scanning!  We just used to mate a bitch & get puppies. How novel! Trying to move with the times here.

I would be interested to hear of your experiences with the vaccine. Thanks.
