My 12 week old puppy keeps getting sticks..chewing, eating etc

At 20 weeks mine still does. It's a pain taking them away all the time, but it's got to be done.

My 8 1/2 year old Staffie also still gets sticks and tears them apart!

Start teaching the leave, providing other toys which are safe (when you are playing with her, do not leave her with most toys alone)

Sticks can be lethal.

Snap, I'm constantly finding the dog bed and the kitchen floor covered in shredded twigs that my youngster brings in. We can't pick up every twig that falls in the garden, and every plum, and every acorn..... *sigh*

There have been some very nasty & fatal accidents involving sticks, I personally wouldnt ever let mine play with sticks & would provide with a much safer toy to play with wether at home or at the park/fields.

I think he's telling you his teeth are hurting.  I would replace with a bone or chew that he CAN eat safely.  Maybe even a frozen towel.

I have found all my dogs as they have grown up at different times choose to find bits of wood to chew. I dont throw sticks any more  slap wrists in the past many years ago ) They seek them out and as I have bark chippings in one area are often found chewing a bit usually on the loungs floor!!.
I dont see it as a health problem am I wrong?

Apart from the danger of sticks causing a blockage or worse perforating something inside the dog I would be concerned with your bark chips as I believe some are cocoa plant chips?

Thank you, they do have plenty of other things to chew so will start preventing them. It is mainly the pup however I am not sure eating the toilet roll again is any better :)

No these arnt cocoa I check :) but some types you can buy are
