One of my pups has not been eating since last night he weighs 1lb 11/2 ozs & is 19 days. i have been giving him a little water on advice of my mentor.His with the others up on all 4's. he does gag a bit when you put liquid in his mouth help please.

Are they weaning to solids yet? Add extra fluids to weaning food. Some have problems coping with liquids unless sucking from Mum, others simply don't like plain water so try goats milk.

Were they wormed at 2 weeks old, they can lose their appetite if they have a worm load.

No not yet i'm starting weaning when they are 3 weeks. yes they were wormed at 2 weeks it is only the 1 pup. Could he have swollen glands when mum cleaned his face he yelped.

We are taking the pup to the vets today he is not getting any better as lost 11/2 ozs since sunday.He does suck from mum but not very much.

He has a respitary infection she put him on a drip for 20 mins & gave him some antibiotics, brought him home since than he has been feeding from mum also on synulox suspension 2 drops a day starting it this morning, was up all night making sure he was al right. This morning breathing was normal feeding fine. The vet said that he would be fine. thank you for asking.

Ahhh glad pup is better

Pup has put on weight he lost 11/2 ozs i am so thrilled that my baby is doing well now.
