Im looking for a head collar as one is getting too small and the buckle is broken (wont come undone so have to prize it off his head) and the dogmatic is wearing thin and as it doesnt have a pin in the buckle it could come off when shes spooked, plus very expensive and don't like it! Im looking at the pictures of the gencon and they dont look to ride up into their eyes. Does anyone have one, is it webbing material with a secure fastening and strong, for me walking 3 dogues at once. 2/3 pull abit but i want control against the other nasty neighbourhood dogs and idiot drunks that seem intent on stroking my dogs when shes clearly terrified.

I've used these :-)  The gencon all in one anyway (this is the lead attached to the head collar) I don't anymore because my daft Melvin snorted so much it was embarrassing.  They are good though, and I easily walked 4 Labs using them.

They are webbing material, and they do a softer version which is particularly nice.  As for the fastening, there is an adjustable fabric stopper that keeps the muzzle bit at the right side.  The clip at the end can either go onto the gencon, or clip onto the normal collar (which is what I did).  It doesn't sound or look particularly secure, but I never had a problem.

We are just trying these at dog club, as people are finding Dogmatics a bit expensive. One of our club members who does agility came in with a Swag and we are really impressed, so much so that we have just ordered some.

I,m happy with gencon they are very safe and strong, don,t ride up into eyes and are easily maintained a good soapy hot wash is all they need.
I manage GSD on them easily but I would also happily reccomend dogmatics.

slightly off at a tangent do you think a head collar as temporary fix for a pup that doesnt like having her lead put on may work better. have tried treats leaving it on leaving it about no problem try to attach it and get her out of the house she disappears or glues herself to the floor. No problem leaving the house without it. |Same problem getting into any car with or without lead glues herself to the floor.have fed her in the car put my other dog in car first
In both situations once out the house no problems until free running then lead has to go on again or travelling in the car ?
Honest i havnt knowingly hurt her just wondered if she has asensitive neck although no problem once we are out its just the putting on and leaving the house. Carrying 20kg of fcr and still growing out of the house or into the car isnt funny :)
