I HAVE A BULLDOG HE IS 7 MONTHS OLD. MY QUESTION IT SEEMS THAT HE IS HORNY AND IS STARTING TO HUMP OUR LEGS. IS THAT NORMAL AT THAT AGE? DO WE NEED TO WORRY ABOUT THIS. ALSO IN REGARDING THE HEAD SIZE AT WHAT AGE IS IT FULLY GROWN.

Hi this is quite normal so dont worry my Bullmastiff is 20 months and still loves a leg, a male dog anything he can humo - they arnt fussy and it can go on - hopefully mine will stop soon :-) They are a great breed - enjoy - also just a small tip make sure you keep his face creases clean as they can get really sore - suda cream is great if they are looking a bit red otherwise just keep them clean with warm water.

yes it is normal but it is up to you to show him this is not allowed behaviour.anytime and everytime he starts to hump pull him off and show him you are not happy by shouting and walking away.dont let him carry on with this behaviour.in response to the previous reply that it is at even 20 months i am sorry but i have to disagree with you there.that is a bit too old.remember the earlier you start to teach molosser breeds the better!!!
good luck with him!

Who said I dont tell him off when he does it???

Well I must know some randy dogs then as I know dogs of 3 yrs and above that hump legs etc on occassions. And he has been a kennel dog up until now and I have only just got him (and not full time as yet - if you read my previous emails) so teaching him it isn't ok is going to take longer as it will a younger dog as I am sure you know . Thanks for advise but I have enough doggie exprience to know how to train my dogs.
