hi all my girl is 46 days pregnant from 1st mating she got mated day 10,11,12, all times was very flirty and willing to stand,
shes had signs of being pregnant sick, swallon vulva teats larger she went off her food early on,
im unsure if she is having any babies now as her belly is not big or showing any signs, shes a slim girl anyway her belly does have a slight bump but nothing to make me think she is,
shes still very active and im making sure shes not jumping or running, too much.
im taking her for a blood test on tuesday to get a answer, jsut wondering if any of you have had this with any of your girls and did she end up with puppies my concern is that she has a singleton will get more advice off vet about this tuesday,
it is her 1st litter and she is 2 years old, she does seem fuller around ribs and i know there carry high up early on and start dropping now but nothing as yet,
hope someone will give me any info thankyou

I would have thought you would see some deffinate signs by now, even if there wasnt very many, as it's only just over 2 weeks away.

My girl on her first litter didn't actually 'look' pregnant until about 2 and a half weeks. Then she had a tummy on her literally overnight.

Depending on the breed they can hide them till late into the pregnancy.

My girls are 7 weeks and suddenly they are huge and they are only small dogs.

With a first pregnancy the abdominal muscles are tighter which can also conceal things.

I have a slim breed and many others in my breed have looked like watermelons when pregnant.  My last one (who was my first one I'd bred) hid them really well up until the last week or so.  I didn't scan her as she was terrified of the vets, but she hid them all up in her ribcage.  Comparing photos online with friends who had bitches at similar gestations just made me depressed and convinced she was having a phantom.  But she gave birth to 6 (only 4 live) puppies, so she was hiding them really well.

When I look back at the photos now, it's easy to see she was actually pregnant, but when comparing those photos to others at the same stages I can also see how I thought she might not be.  I only knew for sure when they started moving in the last week or so.

Good luck - I hope your girl is pregnant.  I'm waiting on pins and needles to find out if the one I've recently bred is.  I've another week before I can scan her.

hi all had my girl checked over by the vets today and no puppies he wanted to still do a scan but i said it was a waste of money so he got another vet to double check and they both agreed no puppies, she showed all the signs too but ive noticed lately her nipples have gone small again so maybe she reabsored them, thankyou all for your advice

My girl who has had 3 phantoms after being mated each time showed signs of being pregnant up to 6-7 weeks and then literally over night went back to normal, since discovered that she ovulales very early so mating when we did wouldn't have worked anyway.

Keeping my fingers crossed for next time that your girl gets pregnant.
