Sad to hear that Malcom Willis died this morning.  He did so much for dogs and was a great advocate in hip and elbow scoring, and did so much work with genetics. He will be missed in the world of dogs.
RIP Malcom I hope you have been reunited with all your fathfull canine friends at the bridge.

Oh no. :-( He was one of the Greats in the world of dogs, and will be sorely missed.

This is very sad indeed.

Sorry to hear that :-(

Very sad, may he RIP.  He was a font of knowledge and did so much for dogdom.  I used to have a bit of an issue with the man for his major boob over the BSD which caused the split in our breed (thankfully overturned some years later) but his other good works far outweighed that error.

I'm so sad to hear this.    He came down to Pembrokeshire maybe 20 years ago to start us off on his methods of character assessment, both adults and puppies, and it was an invaluable experience.   I still use his methods today, with little variation from the original

Thank you for your depth of knowledge Malcolm - may you rest quietly with your oldies who have gone first.

RIP Malcom.

His motto ( taken from his website) "Happiness is not doing what you like it is likeing what you do!"..says it all really.
I guess he had a lot of happiness.

Sorry to hear, hope it was peaceful. Think he was the main reason that most of today's breeders have at least some understanding of genetics.

Thats very sad he was a great dog man.

Very sad to hear this and sympathy to Helen. He was very involved in his wifes  Bernese and wrote one of the more accessible books on Canine Genetics.

Can't find any mention of this in the Dog Press. Such a shame he will be a great loss.

So sad to here this news :(

I did not know him personally but knew his wife Helen , she is a lovely lady who helped me out giving me helpful advice at our local ringcraft when I was new to showing. I do hope she is okay . I believe he had been poorly for a long time as she was unable to make ringcraft as she was caring for Malcolm.
