Just thought I'd post about some resources I've recently come across and found sufficiently good to include them in my puppy pack with my recent litter. I'm prompted to post after reading the recent thread on Behaviour about a child-dog encounter. Excellent resources, whether your new pup owners have children or not. I sat down with the families having pups and gone through the posters with them - basic common sense information, but well worthwhile, specially for inexperienced new owners.

How kids should/should not interact with dogs:

How to greet a dog correctly: http://info.drsophiayin.com/how-to-correctly-greet-a-dog-free-poster/

Body Language fear/aggression: http://drsophiayin.com/blog/entry/dog-bite-prevention-week-poster-on-the-body-language-of-fear-and-aggression

Also good resources for people already with dogs and children, or visiting children. It never does any harm to re-emphasise the fact that we expect HUGE amounts, especially tolerance, from the 4-legged friends we live with :-)
