I know we have done this before but would like your opinons on the best carpet cleaners around atm

I have twist pile carpets throughout the house and despite trying to keep Brooke in the kitchne most times there are little accidents about and I am getting new carpets later this year ( housetraining permitting
I have an old vax wet and dry model but would really like an easy to use upright something I could get out quickly just like a hoover and do a quick clena rather than the all day thing it is at the moment

My friend has an upright Bissel carpet washer that she swears by for little accidents. I've got a Vax that I never use as it's so much hassle setting the thing up. She reckons the Bissel is a doddle to use, cleans really well and is ready to use in seconds.

Bissell all the way.  We're on our second upright, a nifty little animal one.  It doesn't take up lots of room.  The other option is a sream cleaner for deodourising otherwise they keep going back there.

I use bob martins stain/odour remover or bio washing powder.

i think so, ots red.  Bought it off ebay so a bit cheaper I think 9or so I was told lol)  Our first one was the green one, its replacement i was told yesterday is the heat pro?

Another Bissell fan here - I had the small quick wash for a number of years which eventually died but was ace.  Have the large version pro-heat now, I couldn't survive without it.  I also have a vax at my holiday home and it isn't as good as either of the bissells, leaves the carpets more damp and needs a lot more solution for stain removal ........... perhaps the brush action isn't so good or maybe it's the shampoo itself but wish I'd stuck with bissell for there too

HTH, Teri

Bissell pro heat here. Although I need to send it to the doctors after lending it to a neighbour, I can't get the blasted thing to work properly. When it does work it's brill - makes me feel slightly disgusted to see the colour of the water after use though.

Not sure but I googled bissell the other day and I think it bissell direct had them half price, so a good time to buy.

Don't forget to ask Brooke what colour Bissell she would like lol.

I have a steam cleaner, reikiangel, never thought to use it for accidents, will have a go,as a suspicious wet circle appeared in my spare bedroom-cleaned it with biological wash liquid, but i will use the steam in the morning too-thankyou!

Definately the Bissex pro-heat.  We have cream carpets and they come up a treat with it.  OH does them every 3 months or so, or more often if the animals make a mess (so, generally more often!).
