Does anyone know if the pet sedate calming pills they sell in pet stores are safe? (I think the brand name is Francodex.) My lab had to get stiches, and it seems like it will be the only way to keep him off his feet. But I definitely don't want to give him anything that would hurt him. Any info greatly appreciated.

Hi Crazy Dog. One of my dogs is on calming crystals from a homeopathic vet. He has them once a day rubbed on to his gums as he is quite hyper. They took about three weeks to work but he has definitely calmed down but still has his hyper moments now and again.

What kind of dog do you have? Do you know the name of the crystals?

My friend has one of those plug in calming things? And she swears by them- they're from the vets. She has two Rotties. If you want to know the name etc- let me know and I'll ask her:)
