anyone out there had any experience of Nerve root immflamation in the neck of a dog? this was diagnoised by vet hospital by MRI & Spinal tap. my girl is on steroids (1 week now) but no improvement. she is miserable as anything, eating fine, but I never go by that with my breed, they dont stop eating till they are truly 'down', wont go out walks. the look in her eyes tell me they may be something else lurking around, but she has had MRI, Spinal tap, CT scan & x-rays, plus usual bloods, Phew that would exhaust me!

Hi tadog,
no experience of this in a dog but have heard of it in people and understand it is extremely painful, not confined to the neck area alone due to the nature of the problem. It could be she needs better pain relief for her condition or that the stomach ulcers are causing her gastric pains - I have no shortage of experience of that and it's horrible :-(
I would get back on to your specialist a.s.a.p. and explain your concerns about her general demeanour and see what they come up with.
Poor girl, hope she's over the worst soon

Thanks for reply Teri,
My girl ils on no pain releif at moment. she had been previously on Metacalm but due to being on steroids she is now off the metacam. I do hope that it is as you say this conition that is causing her general demeanour to be down. hope the meds she is on has stopped any stomache probs.
