Many thanks. Done it now,!!
Any sign of the entry numbers yet? Not in OD, or Higham site. Online passes and exhibitor information out. Don't get DW in print - was it in there last week?

Thanks.

Oh.My.Goodness. The powers that be decided in their infinite wisdom to give tickets to our breed at Paignton, despite nobody who shows them living down there and the show never really having had an entry for them. There are TWO entries! So if it's a dog and a bitch they will get a CC each just for turning up!

(I'm not going, much too far for me.)
Goldmali, that is madness isn't it? Why don't the KC listen or evaluate the probability of the entry!!
We have had 3 judge changes for Paignton this year and the entry is not good so don't think I'll even bother going to watch.
I wonder if any department at the KC are monitoring the entries, ours are down this year buit when you take into account costs and people watching the pennies I'm not surprised :(

Uh oh - not good Marianne :-( I really do question how the KC approve allocation of CCs - clearly the system in use is not working!

I'm pretty sure they were just allocated to Paignton to begin this year but Marianne will know better than me

Well looking at my schedule and online the only BSD with tickets at Paignton are Groendals.

(GROENENDAEL, sorry about the spelling.....!!!!!

I spell it wrongly all the time :-D Hopefully the schedule is right, it would be a shame if this is a CC entry with only two exhibits although having just judged them with CCs at NW&PB I can vouch for the fact that the quality in them is evident so it could be both entered are worthy of such an award.

The entry fee for Malinois is lower (£16?) than the entry fee for breeds with CCs (£26 I think). The schedule doesn't mention CCsfor them.

Ah, must be another year, maybe 2012 :-) I think Marianne must have gone to lay down in shock LOL

Strange -I could have SWORN it was this year and that I looked at the schedule! (LKA is this year and I was sure we got both shows with tickets for the first time in the same year. Must be my age!!) Seems I was wrong -well thank goodness for that! (There have been shows twice with tickets available and just 3 entries.) Oh hang on! Maybe it was Bournemouth? Yes! Checked and it was. DUH. (Much the same applies though as to where exhibitors live.) Sorry, can you all tell I don't go down south a lot?!!

entry low for my breed to at Paignton... although the judge lovely as he is .. most people will know who the possibilities are no point in entering.

Our entry is pretty much consistent with the year so far.

When I started showing I was surprised by how many shows there are during the working week - without ever really thinking about I had just assumed it would be a weekend hobby!
Do people who work take these days off as holiday? It all adds to the cost doesn't it...

Well when I started showing, very many years ago a lot of the exhibitors were retired or ladies/gentleman of means.!!!!!!
Now I too am retired so week day shows are not a problem.........
> Do people who work take these days off as holiday?
Yes, but in our case it's just not the day!!
