Getting hold of the active ingredients has become extemely difficult. The main ingredients - Iodoform and Borax are both chemicals used in bomb making .....so regulations have tightened enough to make it all but impossible to obtain them.

Im still running on a batch I made in the lab before I retired.
Now without a account with the large chemical firms, I will have to buy Thornit ready made. :-)

unfortunatly that is why me as a certified sprayer of chemicals, I cannot get most of the weed killers or bug killers that I paid £500 to get the certificate to make it so I know what I am doing, as they are unsafe :( :(

The day is fast approaching when we wont be allowed sharp scissors :-(
> The day is fast approaching when we wont be allowed sharp scissors
That reminds of something I once read: from
A List Of Things Your Mother Wouldn't Say "Quick, run and fetch the scissors!'

Probably an EU directive now anyway! :-) :-)
Did you see on QI recently that the most common item confiscated by customs in the US is a Kinder egg?
" Risk of inhalation or choking"... :-(
Most chemists sell borax still. i was asked what I wanted it for, I told them mites and they let me have it. My breeder had to give her name and address once. Must have looked like a bomb maker ;)
