I have just been on the phone to petplan to see if I can update the amount I have my pets (4 covered) for. at the moment I pay 37.77 a month each for three dogs and 28.42 for the other. they are all covered for £4,000.00. imagine my horror to find out I could get 7,000.00 cover for 33.91 per month for my three & 22.70 for the other! when I asked about this I was told that new rates started on 01 07 11. my renewal date started 13 june. as I said the the 'supervisor' the new rates must surely have been in the pipline at the time of my renewal, surely someone should have advised myself and others that this was coming up. I am now waiting on the supervisors, supervisor getting back to me tomorrow. I am pretty angry, i have been with this company for 30 years and now it would seem that loyaly goes for nothing, new customers can get better deals. 

I was with petplan for all 4 of mine until 28.6.11 when I cancelled my policy for 3 of them and went with Axa as they were cheaper and cover was £7,000 a year instead of petplans £4,000. when they asked why I was leaving I told them those exact reasons and they didn't mention to me that they were having a new policy come into effect 3 days later!!! Oh well, unlucky for them as I went elsewhere and got a better deal!

I would change if mine were younger, I have a 9 & 10 & 13yr old. I am i think going to change with the youngest she is 3. I only wanted to upgrade to 7,000.00. this is how i found out.  they said that i could upgrade with the youngest but not the others due to their previous claims.......i said that the 9 yr old had only ever in her 9yrs been to the vets (apart from vacs) that needed a clain, so off the girl went to speak to someone came back and said yes she could be upgraded. I am still furious!
