Litter of 6 (toy breed) Doing really well, until a puppy died this morning. Was the smallest but certainly not skinny. Shocked. Vets have sent away for pm. Unsure what to do now. So worried.

That's a large litter in a toy breed so to loose one before weaning is not that unusual, and may point to some bodily function not having matured enough, or even possibly accidental suffocation/trauma by the dam?.

Sorry to hear of your  lost pup I hope it turns out to be nothing that impacts on the others like an infection.

Ahh so sorry to hear this, its so hard to lose a puppy, hope the others are ok.

Theyre not actually my pups (or dogs) their my cousins but yes its very upsetting. Shes distraught.

Other pups seem to be doing fine, putting on loads of weight. Just hope (for all theirs sake) that the rest continue to thrive.

Oh how sad, I know 10 days isn't very old but it's old enough that you'd have thought they might be safe. So sorry. :-(
