Can someone tell me which is the best type of lead for a Rough Collie I am enq for a friend,  for my Beardies I use a chain and seperate lead... as it doesnt ruffle the coat would it be similar?

Many people use a check chain and separate lead, but I always find this gets too tangled in the coat - don't know what I do to them! I use a rolled leather half check, in white leather for my girl, as it disappears in to the coat but doesn't damage it.

i'm one of those who uses a chain and lead  for showing a rough, i  use a flatlinked  check chain which is much better for the coat.  

I use a leather adjustable half check collar in white leather, and a  round leather lead for my roughs for showing.   For walking I use a round leather slip collar ( from Albert on Collienet) and leather lead (timberwolf).

yes Sal that is what I use for my beardies.
