my 9 week old dog pup who has quite a wide white blaze just missing his eye has started under that eye only to stain slightly  eyes nice and bright no wet eyes
Would it be because his fur is white by that eye instead of brown

I see this a lot in Papillons -and prefer smaller blazes when possible because of it (not that that's happened more than once LOL.) Often it improves with age -in fact it has with all bar one of mine, and the one it didn't improve with is in my very badly bred (back yard breeder type) dog.

Is the hair under the eye always wet? Staining obviously only shows on white or lighter coloured coats, there are products to get rid of the stain.

This can be caused by the lashes being abnormal and aggravating the surface of the eye, severe cases may need surgery to correct.

As the face head of the pup changes shape the problem can disappear.

under eye not wet at all so dont know why stained other eye is liver fur so you would not see it there but i think it is seen when dog has white fur round the eye
