having a look at shows to do with my pointer ,driffeild looks lovely show but noticed its benched champ show not sure if if its good idea to go as my pointer and i are novices it might be good for experinced,we have  only been doing open show

we have  only been doing open show

Don't let that stop you :)

I take one of my boys to champ shows and while we might do better at open shows there are larger classes at the champ shows, so it has pleasures all its own...if you go just to enjoy the day you will never be disappointed and of course a good place or win will send you to cloud nine :) :)

If you really want to see your breed in more depth you do need to go to championship shows.

too far for me and I already have 3 champ shows in October to attend.  I was supposed to only be doing one a month, which I have stuck to except for October LOL.  Having a new puppy out in August is my excuse.

Now Ladies kennel Association in December at teh NEC all the sporting breeds are together so I'll be there.

Go for it! We'd only done about 4 open shows when we tried a couple of champ shows, got chucked out at one, then got 2nd of 21 at the next and qualified for Crufts! It's just the same principle, I bet your dog is just as good as most of those there, give it a try!
