I am looking for agility training classes in the Cardiff area - does anyone know of any? The nearest I have found is Caerphilly and District but I'm sure there must be a training club a little closer (or actually in Cardiff) that runs agility classes.
I am interested in competing again at some point but a "pet" agility class would be fine for now, just to get back into it (I've not done any agility with Felix for about 2 years now!).

Sorry can't help - I'm guessing you have looked on agility.net or asked on the forum there?

As you have experience hopefully it will be a bit easier getting in - fingers crossed.

Good luck hope you do find something - my setters just love it and the older boy is actually starting to listen to me - its only taken 3 years!

Have a look on http://agilitynet.co.uk/clutch/clubs.htm for your local clubs.  Check out where they train as it may not be actually in the place where their name is taken from! be careful of clubs who do just a bit of agility as they may not have the correct knowledge to help you, particularly if you wish to compete in the future.  Good luck - it's a great hobby :-)

Thanks both - I had a good trawl through the clubs listed on Agilitynet yesterday and the Caerphilly one was the closest I could find! I would certainly go along to watch a class without the dog first to see what it's like before committing though :)
I competed in UKA shows for about a year and Felix did quite well - I had to give up due to college commitments but I'm dying to get back into it! Things are changing and I may be moving to Cardiff so thought I would look into the classes in the area. I'm really surprised that I can't find any classes in the city!

I've enquired with my friends on FB and they seem to think that Caerphilly is the closest reasonable KC club - but it has a waiting list, but that may be for their beginner class.  Apparently there are some 'fun' agility 'classes' in Cardiff, but these are unsupervised etc and sound a bit worrying.  You may be better to contact Mark Douglas who may run his own classes... he lives in the Pontypridd area.

Thanks for enquiring for me :) unsupervised classes do sound a little worrying... so I have sent an email to the Caerphilly club, it is not too far and would be do-able. So fingers crossed... really can't wait to get into agility again!

Yes, good, you can always try Mark Douglas (I think he trains at Caerphilly) and rumour was that he may do his own training - which would be worth going to.

We have attended some competitions at Alps Court, in Cardiff.  I will have to have a dig around to see which club was running them.  It will be nice to see another toller competing!

that is ok I have already Pm'd her.  You have a Toller too - think I may have seen you then!
