Morning, I was just wondering if anyone has and shows Rotties in and around the Bolton-ish area, I am getting my pup later in the year and want to show her so I would be grateful for any help or advice from rotti owners who show, who could point me in the right direction or any breed specific shows please , thanks

Not sure if I will be of any help as I'm not in that area but I have owned Rottie's for 14'ish years and show mine aswell.  I am in the South West but travel around the country to the shows.  If you are getting a pup to show I am sure the breeder will also be able to point you in the right direction of where to start etc.  If you have a look at the champ shows you can go along and watch before you pick your pup up and get an idea of how it all works.

Feel free to pm me for any more info.

Thank you very much, the breeder will be fantastic but is not in this country and as you know hands on n seeing it yourself till the penny drops is best, I'm sooo looking forward to her I can't tell you, finding it tough to find anywhere within a certain distance tho, I went to a ring craft class localism to me with our other goldie pup but it was so packed not much could be learned other than the go round no time for anything else, so now I want to be better prepared and if I could find a mentor it would be fantastic, thanks

I would suggest joining the breed clubs, the national one and a regional one of there is one and attending some of their shows.  In the meantime go and see the breed at championship shows which are coming thick and fast as there is usually a good number of Rotts entered.  Leeds show is coming up shortly, go find the ring and benches and introduce yourself and you will soon be immersed.

I've just got a Rottie pup and hoping to show her when old enough. I've searched the breed clubs online and joined some of them and also joined some of their Facebook pages. They will have all the show dates on top of general Ch and open shows around the country.
MOst of it is searching the net tbh :-).

Leeds champ' show is on on sat 23rd july for rotties, are you able to go to his show? if so, come along, there will lots of rottie people for you to talk to, and meet. I'll be going, but I'm going from the Midlands, happy to meet up for a chat.. :-)

LouiseDDB, do they still have the ringcraft in Ozzy lol I used to go there, run by the Accrington and District..? it was one of the best one's i'd been to, I'm moving back to Blackburn soon and wondered if it was still on..

What area are you in sue jaw?
- By suejaw Date 06.07.11 16:07 UTC
I'm down in the south east so can't help on the ringcraft side of things. We'll probably see each other at shows and more than likely be in the same classes for a while :-) my girl is 15 weeks old and a little princess...
