I tend to take vaccination card plus passport. Also carry my DEFRA docking certificate, KC registration certificate, offical KC five gen pedigree, and microchip registartion doc.  probably very OTT but if I don't have something someone will surely ask for it !!

At vetting in for Championait last year they only wanted passport ( also have my routine vaccination recorded in that at the back) - the vets scanned the chips against documents.
Judge in ring also scanned microchip and read number out to ring sec to check dog entered was dog presented.

interestingly the ring that my breed is listed in, on the link, is a completely different ring to the one on my pass that arrived today!!

> What health papers do you take? I only understood it to be the rabies (passport) that they required? Do they require anything else

My dogs annual vaccs are recorded in their passports.  Some shows may refuse entry if the dog does not have up to date shots DHLPPI.  I have never been questioned about it but my vet told me one of her clients was refused entry with an out of date stamp last year somewhere in France.  They thought they were safe being less than one month overdue but the show vet refused entry.  May have just been an extra picky vet though.

I take also a colour photocopies of KC registration, a 5 gen pedigree, and champions certificates if applicable.

I have the same ring as is shown on cedia, but also a different ring and hall in brackets!

Haven't got my passess yet but it looks like we may need to club together for an offical UK exhibitor translator :))  Volunteers ????

Curious as to what are 'up to date vaccinations' these days?
As the advice these days seems to indicate that not everyone vaccinates at yearly intervals!
- By loobyloo2 [gb] Date 24.06.11 22:48 UTC
Just had a reply from friends in France who are going.
As the dogs are over 1 year old, they only require rabies.
Was worried a bit I must admit, as I don't vaccinate annually.
- By harkback Date 25.06.11 09:17 UTC
Got the Championnat pass this morning and guess what!  I have entered 3 dogs, as shown on cedia under "my entries" but the pass is only for 2.  A friend who entered 3 both days also her passes for both are only for 2 dogs.

Also my campervan permit arrived minus the magnetic card that was supposed to be attached to the permit.  And the permit says "lost magnetic cards will not be replaced".

Mine was not attached either, so I think after deciphering a French site,
you pick it up when you arrive.
- By Toller [gb] Date 28.06.11 11:05 UTC
For the pet passport, is frontline spray ok to use instead of the spot on?

and is Drontal OK?
- By loobyloo2 [gb] Date 28.06.11 11:43 UTC
No, it must be spot on.
Drontal is fine.

Tucking this onto the end, not a reply to anyone. Yesterday some Swedish and Norwegian exhibitors were saying on Facebook that they had not received their ring numbers with their tickets. I personally had assumed that it would work like here, i.e. you get them at the show. Does anyone know if that is normally the case in France? The odd thing was, one Norwegian said she HAD received a ring number.
- By Toller [gb] Date 28.06.11 12:38 UTC
I haven't got any ring numbers.

Does the judging schedule time mean that's when your breed is in the ring or when judging starts for the show?

This is starting to seem very complicated LOL
- By klb [nl] Date 28.06.11 15:31 UTC Edited 28.06.11 15:36 UTC
Last year you collected ring numbers from the ring steward before judging commenced - take your letter /passes to the steward. All your entry detaails plus your ring number will be listed on the letter. I still haven't got mine yet :(

The judging schedule time is start of judging .. keep checking the site as for each breed class they will give an estimate of time in the ring at some point. It will be listed on statistics for your breed on breakdown of numbers / class

Hi , new to this ...I am attending on the thursday and friday, home on the saturday.
I have a yellow & blue exhibitor card with 3 numbers on it ( presumably for the 3 dogs I entered!) but thats it!!
I forgot to buy my parking ticket with the entry so am now worrying about where I can park on the thursday as I am showing in the first class at 8.30 am.
I guess with the vet check its gonna take a while to get in the venue, and if its anything like the NEC, may be a bit of a walk!
Our hotel ( All seasons Rossey) is 12 mins drive from venue.
Any advice is very useful!!
I am booked in to see the vet on friday morning ( our eurotunnel is sat am) so my lovely groomed show dogs will be sporting that lovely smeary oily look that frontline leaves behind! ( bought frontline & drontal here to take with me!)
Thanks!!
- By Goldmali Date 01.07.11 17:24 UTC
The vet check abroad tends to take about 5 seconds -all they do is check there is no runny nose, eyes or bum. Unfortunately you could only buy car par tickets up until a few days ago, but I'm sure you can park in the visitors car park, it just says certain car parks are reserved for ticket holders.

Had to laugh at the judging time given for my class -13.32! Talk about exact!!!
- By hettimayzi [gb] Date 01.07.11 17:37 UTC
Thanks Goldmali, my judging is like that too !! Intermediate dog 1 entered 8.30, junior dog ( my class) 8.32!!
- By klb [gb] Date 01.07.11 19:49 UTC
Villepinte is a big exhibition centre like NEC. Drive from Rossey is very easy and shouldn't take more than 15mins max.
I too didn't see parking tickets until too late so will be on outer car parks so it will be a bit of a walk round to vet control point.  Last year for Championnat non French nationals had to use just two vet points which caused a real que. All dogs were scanned for chips and passports checked for vaccinations etc & general quick vet check of each dog. Took a longer than vet check system elsewhere.

I am also in the ring at 8.30 on Staurday and my passess haven't arrived !! I am on exhibitor list so they haven't lost my entries, if they don't arrive I have been told to check into control point at exhibitor car entrance to sort it all out ..... I think my French is going to be tested. I expect choas and fraid nerves !!!

Just a quickie before I shoot off.
Wishing all of you competing in Paris this coming week,
a safe journey, a great time,
and of course, some wonderful results.

On the World Dog Show Website they have now released a complete list of exhibitors (alphabetically), so you can at least check whether your name is there. They also list in red, those exhibitors who have to collect their passes when they arrive at the show.
- By klb [gb] Date 02.07.11 11:39 UTC
Yes I have found it and I am on the list (yippee) BUT not listed in red :( French SC confirm that they have posted them :( They should have arrived last week.
Why couldn't they email me a letter giving authorisation for entry for the dog and my guests  ?? Or email copy of passes etc ??

Will have to go armed with emails, copy of entry list from website, copy of my entry forms etc and try to find someone at control point on arrival to get me sorted ..... last year no one spoke English (they put me in wrong breed last year !!) and my French is limited so I am expecting a difficult morning !!  Adds to the pressure especially as breed judging starts for me at 8.30am, so not much time for messing about when you add the time taken for vet control (queues where huge  last year for non French nationals!)

Good luck to everyone .. will be there on Sat and Sunday so may be I will see some  of you. Will be listening out for English voices :)

Would anybody have an address for the venue?
Road name?

The only one I can find from their website ( Parc des expositions, 95970 Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle Cedex) brings nothing up in my sat nav or google maps (was going to take prints as a back up :) )

The google map link they have on the website does not work either....
- By Goldmali Date 04.07.11 12:42 UTC
Found it when Googling as I had the same problem with my Sat Nav. 54 Avenue des Nations, Paris Nord Villepinte. I managed to find that on the SatNav.

We had a fab time!!
Had a 2nd and 3rd in Junior dog and a 3rd in a massive open class..thrilled!!!
It was tho....dis  orgainised chaos!
I have never seen so much poo everywhere...ques everywhere, an a hour and half for tick n tape, not even vet checked on way in!
Judging times changing all the time!!
Great fun tho...and yes I'd do it again!!
- By sam Date 12.07.11 18:47 UTC
Lea, wewon the "champion bitch" class.  Lets say the judging was "interesting"......it was as bad next door in the beagle ring where the audience were booing the judge!!!
- By Lea Date 12.07.11 19:13 UTC
Woooo Hoooo, well done you :) :) :)

- By rachelsetters Date 12.07.11 19:39 UTC
Well done Sam :)

In Gordons the BOB given to a dog the judge bred !

And I saw a video of some very unsportsmanlike handling.... :(

Would put me off for sure!
- By sam Date 13.07.11 06:53 UTC

- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 13.07.11 07:10 UTC

- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 13.07.11 07:11 UTC
