Tilly's breder was in town yesterday with her brother (she was baby sitting him while his owners were away and was bringing him to meet them off the plane). We went and met them at a local park and walked them.

She was so pleased with how Tilly looked. She said she was developing to look just like the mum. She looks alot different to her brother - he is tall and long and skinny while she is much more compact but she was wider than him and more bulk all over (not fat just her whole bone structure seems bigger). I think if she didn't have the back problem she would have been the same length more or less. She was also ALOT more playful than him.

When we got there she spotted him across the car park and went completely nutty! I have never seen her do that before. Normally she wants to greet people who are close to her but she wanted to drag me across the car park! When we got there the poor boy didn't stand a chance she just bounced all around him and kept nudging him with her nose as if to say come on and play. I don't know if it was recognition or just that she was excited to see a pup her size!

So it was a great day. I am so glad the breeder got to see her again.

How lovely. I always like to see any of our 'pups' again, however old they get! Glad you had a great day.

Oh  that's lovely.
Part of my contract is that if the owners can't find a house-sitter or someone to look after the pup when they go on holiday then they must not be kennelled and must come to stay with me (up until they are 12mths old) and I love getting to see them all again. Quite a few of them pop over for play-dates regularly too. We arranged a play-date for 5 of them a few weeks ago. It was the best day Ive had for a long long time seeing my babies again.

I love seeing the puppies again. I regularly get a visit from one who is now 7 years old and I also have several friends from a Basset Forum pop over with their Hounds so that they can all have a run around with my lot. We've had over 25 here at one time before, which was total chaos, (good job I've got no neighbours)but great fun. At the moment I'm currently looking after 2 puppies from our last litter for the next 3 weeks whilst their owners are away on buisness.
