One of my dear friends and a breeder is currently very poorly,I hope so much that she makes a full recovery.Meanwhile this prompted my morbid husband to ask the question - If the breeder of your dogs sadly dies - how do endorsements get lifted? Sorry for the morbid question but apart from asking the K.C I couldn't answer him. Jude

The simple answer is they don't.

I've seen a thread on another forum about this recently, and people said that the KC would lift if the breeder had died.  I fortunately have no experience of this, just going on what I've heard.

I believe if there is proof of an existing written agreement to lift them if and when relevant health tests have been done that would enable that to happen.

yes ive spoke to the kc re this and it can ONLY be lifted if the breeder has put in her contract she will lift endorsement when ie....all health tests are done the dog/bitch has sound movement and temprement and has done well in the show ring ,but you would still have to prove all this before its lifted by sending all that is asked for!
