hi all, we are taking our pup to puppy class tomorrow for the first time and was wondering if anyone has any tips that would help or is it pretty straight forward, thanks

congratulations on your new puppy... if the training is treat based remember to take a little bag with some tasty smelly treats most take hot dog sausages ,cheese, real sausage anything you know pup will show interest in , also either a tuggy, ball or favorite toy . A training lead that extends but you probably can buy one there , hope you enjoy your lesson ..:)

maybe a bit of blanket for pup to lie on,between exercises? My Gwen,.7months now, still sleeps her way through the class and has to be woken for each exercise, complete with big yawn and stretch! The difference between her and how Jess was is amazing,.Hope you both enjoy yourselves.

Hope it's a proper puppy class at a training club not a puppy party at the vet - some of those are good, but I've heard a lot of bad reports too. Have fun, don't worry if your puppy misbehaves, and just relax! If your puppy is nervous at first, don't make a big fuss of him/her but don't force her to interact with the others if she doesn't want to, just stay casual and jolly her along. :-)
