Wondered if you guys could help me out.

I'm judgeing novelty classes at a fun dog show and i cant remember if you move the dogs round? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on the class. There would be little point in moving the dogs for "Brightest eyes" for instance. :)

Thanks Goldmali, its the usuals like prettiest bitch, waggiest tail etc. So its ok not to move them then, like you say there is little point.

Lots of people tend to not move them to speed the judging up a bit as well as some classes can be very big, in particular prettiest bitch etc. There's no hard and fast rule.

I agree marianne :)

I think it depends on the numbers in the classes as they can be pretty big....  Last year I didn't move them unless the class warranted it - best condition, brace etc.  Otherwise I would have been there all day!   Such good fun - really enjoyed myself!

Ditto, mostly you would only move best veteran / best condition etc, and just look at faces for pretty bitch etc. Though my friend went to a show where the judge went over every single dog and moved it for all the novelty classes, it took hours!!!!
