I am happily sat crossed legged on the floor and puppy has her favourite tug rope (the yellow & black one from PAH).
She swings it from side to side, giving me a nice bruise on my knee cap and decides it's manic play time (she is currently jumping on me and my laptop pressing all sorts of buttons with her ever growing feet...).

I just had to laugh when she proudly pranced over like a dressage horse with her toy in her mouth (she had hold of the very end of one side), stuck her front feet in the middle of my tummy, lifted her head and toy right in my face and then kindly tipped her head sideways so the toy was so far in my face, I had no choice but to play (I can't see where I am typing as her head is hanging over my screen now, I keep batting her off but she keeps jumping on my shoulder and dropping her toy on my keyboard).

I have thrown it into the kitchen where it has got stuck partially behind the radiator and so she is playing tug of war with the radiator for a moment...

I thought I would tell everyone this story as it made me smile and is a bit more light hearted than some of the unfortuate things I've been reading on her recently.
She is my mischievous madam and makes me proud to be a dog owner. :)

ah sweet. mine was the same until she grew up. when she killed a squirell in the park and proudly tossed it around like her fav toy i realised she was a wolf in dogs clothing

I got one of those at 4 months, they usually grow out of toys by the time they are adults, not a toy orientated breed at all.

I have a box of tuggies and other toys that only pups ever play with.  the others if it can't be eaten or quickly destroyed it isn't worth playing with.

We don't have many toys here because they all get firmly removed by the oldest dog and stored safely in his corner :) not much fun for the other guys...having said that the all time favourite toy is not a toy but an empty plastic water bottle--they all enjoy the noise it makes and it's perfect for carting about.

my Vic loves his softies he looks ever so sad when missy gets them and tears them up, he has a tiny sheep toy he's had since he was a pup which he carefully stores under the sofa where missy can't get it. He fishes it out with his long legs when she's not about and carries it around proudly :)

my house is full of balls off different sizes all over the place (including the garden )note pic on my profile...all burst of course unless they are the small  rubber ones!! they also have soft toys but the balls are definitely an outright winner.

My Tweed will show his socks off for an entire day just for the glimpse of his squeaky ducky!

we got the same rope toy for our bc pup and she loves it but if we put an empty water bottle on the floor then that seems to be the best toy in the world!!!!!! makes me laugh!!! and she loves a squirrel toy i brought from pound stretcher which has a sqeak at either end, soooo cute when she learnt how to sqeak it!!!!!!!!

Mine bullie makes me laugh.....I can spend a fortune on toys and he plays for a while then gets bored...but if I drop the plastic ball out of the washer.....well.......he goes crazy chasing it all over the place and sits and stalks in for a while! So funny....whatever kind of day I have had always make me smile....priceless!!

She has several favourite toys, a fav tug toy, fav ball, fav cuddly toy (which she pinched from me), fav toy for the park etc. In fact once at the park whilst she is waiting for you to throw said toy (a £1 squeaky pink and blue dumbell from Wilkinsons), nothing else will get her attention. No type of fresh, raw meat, other toy, dog, nothing, will get her attention.

Although she does love to carry her water dish into the living room (with the remaining water) and then start jumping into it and playfully attacking it. STRANGE dog. I thought it would be the mirror reflection in the bottom but she doesn't react to normal mirrors and does the same thing when her dish is upside down and there is no reflective material on the outside....

I have tried the classic empty water bottle and she LOVES it. Cheapest toy out there! 16p litre bottle from Tesco. Every little helps!

I had an aunt that was trying to domesticate me.  She bought me a really huge Pyrex thingamyjig with a lid, for cooking turkeys.  The domed lid was huge, and VERY heavy.  It was ideal to use as a water bowl for 3 Collies, and being heavy, didn't get shoved around. 

I brought home a brand new, tiny tot of a Yorkshire Terrier puppy.  She jumped into the bowl, and carefully, lifting one paw at a time, did a great big smack on the water.  She was absolutely delighted.  It was her favourite pastime for ages.  I got used to paddling in the kitchen.

I put the water bowls that are inside the house inside plastic containers so that it catches the drips ..my puppy has taken to dragging it along the kitchen but because of the plastic container doesnt spill on the floor most of it goes into the container.

I have two 5 month old puppies of a breed which can sometimes be fussy feeders....BUT NOT THESE!!!

They LOVE their food and one of them does a funny thing...when all the food has gone, she starts to dig furiously in her bowl for more...dig dig dig in a frenzy...then looks up..and stares at me " Why is no more food coming up from the bottom of the bowl"...so funny :-)

I contemplated buying a combined food and water dish that was weighted but I don't want to take the fun out of it for her so like you Jean, I am getting used to walking into a puddle filled kitchen!

(As I type this, she is sat in front of me with her water dish, having a good jumpy do, like a pouncing cat...Peeling the rubber non-slip ring out of the bottom of the dish).

We move house next weekend so I'm looking forward to a big garden for her, maybe get her a sand pit to dig in etc; think this summer will be a lot of fun for pup!
Sure there are going to be several more moments of joy!

I must be a bit of a  spoil sport as I cant think of anything more annoying that a soaking wet kitchen floor... a habit I would want to break as quick as possible. My house is like a fortress covering this and that from the puppy chewing...and to protect my things , my 4 dogs live with me not me with them..   I think to let them continue is asking for trouble!!
