Topic Dog Boards / Health / worming a dog on ABs
- By rabid [gb] Date 27.06.11 08:19 UTC Edited 27.06.11 08:22 UTC
One of our dogs is on ABs (metronidazole) for a suspected gastrointestinal infection.  (At least, that's what we hope it is - if the ABs don't work, it might be something more serious.)

However, this dog does like to snack on grass often - she always has, even when well - and her symptoms might be consistent with lungworm.  (Lethargy and vomiting.)

I thought I would give her a course of Panacur, in case she has lungworm.  Can I start this whilst she is still on the ABs, or do I have to wait for those to finish first?

Thanks

To be honest I would contact the manufuacturer for advise. http://www.noahcompendium.co.uk/Intervet_Schering-Plough/Panacur_10_ACU-_Oral_Suspension/-29760.html
