Just back from the vets....my little bully is not well.....noticed a difference in his manner over the last couple days....just not himself! We took him to be introduced to a couple last night who will be looking after him soon when we have to go away for a week and he was great and very well behaved......but again to us quiet and not really interested...then this morning I knew something was wrong when I came downstairs and he did not move from his basket in the hall and for a moment thought something dreadful had happened.....no wag of the tail, no up excited just lay there....he did eat his breakfast but slowly and again with no interest then rather than his usual straight to the door he went and lay panting in his basket......we decided to take him for a short walk then call the vets when they opened.....the walk was the worst ever, very badly behaved, no response to discipline and trying to jump up passers by which he has never ever done.....I knew then something was wrong.....

The vet we saw has seen him before and even he commented on his behaviour as he was jumpy and pulling on his lead as we walked through to the vet....he took his temperature which was very high and examined him and said he tummy sounded very upset and he has very enlarged anal glands because over the last 48 hours his
poos have been loose.

He gave him a shot of antibiotics as it was obvious he has an infection of some sort and some treatment to settle his tummy and also to harden things up a little.......

He sat and made no movement when he had the injection and no movement when he had his glands cleared..

We have been told to not feed him today and start his serum we have in a syringe straight away.....just did it and he just sat with his mouth open...

He looks so poorly....just hope to god he has not eaten something that's poisoned him whilst out on his walks.....you think you spot everything but now I worry.....

We have been told to keep a close eye on him for the next 24 hours and if anything worsens to call the vet straight away......

Feel really blue watching my little guy suffer....

Fingers crossed for a good and speedy recovery.

The problem with pups is that they go downhill so quickly, but, they bounce back quite quickly too. Hope this is the case with your little boy. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Seems to be a little improvement .....still far from his usual self! Seems odd when I come home that he is not sat by the door waiting to say hello......he is lying in his basket and shows a subtle wag of his tail......not nice watching my little baby suffer .....

All is well and back to normal.....yeah !!  Will be at the bullmastiff league show on Sunday ....

Glad he is back to normal...remember to stick to what you  are feeding
at the moment...good luck
