Hi
Molly has a slither of glass in one of her front pads. I can feel it with the twizzers, but just can't get hold of it....a trip to the vet in the morning??

>I am sure she will be fine

   I'm a bit confused - why would she be fine?  The question is whether a vet visit is needed and the answer is yes!

Yes,Molly is off to the vet as soon as it opens this morning...she's just hobbled into the garden for a wee & it's bleeding again...don't they look sad when they hobble :-(

They've kept her in for a minor op...glass was getting deeper...I've got to go to work now...will have to ring the vet at 12... :-((((

Poor Molly and you, I hope she is soon better, it's easy to underestimate how bad a problem this can be. I had glass left in my foot after an accident--no one would believe me until the glass started to emerge from my foot nearly three years later. During all that time I was unable to walk any distance because I could feel the glass slicing through muscle. The piece that was eventually removed was the size of a large thumbnail and it was all very traumatic.

Hope Molly is OK and the op went well. I too had a bit of glass in my foot it went in when I stood on a lightbulb and I never knew it was still there untill 5 years later when a bump arrived on the back of my heel and I squeezed it (As you do) and this bit of lightbulb popped out !
The father of a friend of mine had a nasty nose bleed a few weeks ago and when investigated the Dr found a blue pop together bead in his nose...must have been there over 50 years !!

All the glass is out & Molly is sleeping...well what's new
The wound was too wide to stitch, so the badge must be on for 4-5 days...umm we'll see :-)

Great news that things went as planned.....I am thrilled that Molly will soon be back on all her feet!!!xxxx

Couldn't wait to log in and see how you got on at the vet.

Poor girl with a wound that wide, but so glad that you have her all sorted.  What a relief for you.  :-)
