Can anyone help us. We are loking to buy a puppy. Does anyoune know anything about Vale View kennels in Wales? Can you also tell me when buying a puppy is it ok if the father has been hip scored 8/5 and eye tested but the mother hasn't.

Both parents should be Hip Scored and Eye tested. Dads score is OK, but if Mum hasn't been scored, she copuld be sysplastic for all the breeder knows, or affected by a blinding eye disease.

Only buy if both parents are health tested with good results, even then it doesn't gurantee a healthy pup, but sure stacks the odds in favour :D

I think vale view supply many, many breeds of dog, have seen lots of adverts for them on another site, all with different puppies for sale.Ask them what other puppies they can supply....

If it is a puppy farm, or dealer, steer clear!!! :)

Hi Guest :)
As you can see from the replies it is a farm.  Stay well clear of them.  If you're interested in peoples views and experiences with puppy farms look here.  You will also find more if you do a search in the top right corner and put in Puppy Farms.

In the search for your Lab pup.  Talk to your local vets, they may know some reputable breeders.  Alternatively search the Labrador info Pages on Champdogs.
Good Luck in your search.
Ali :)

I actually got my chocolate lab pup from Vale View in Wales, and I found the breeder to be an incredible person, her dogs were well kept, and happy, and in my opinion, is about the farthest away from being a 'puppy farm' imaginable.
