We've got our first show in 2 weeks so now I'm looking at entries for over the summer.  I've not handled before and she's not shown before so really we're after as much experience as possible but i don't want to over face her - it's got to still be fun.

It seems like the cheapest way for her to get a bit more experience would be to enter her into the junior classes as well - am I allowed to do this if she is only 7 months?  Do you think it'd be too much for her to do an extra class or could I enter her and then decide whether or not to put her in on the day?

Obviously she attends ring craft etc. but I think being outside on grass on a lead might be a bit of a learning curve for her. 

I would not enter Junior until my pup was about 11 months unless she was very mature for her age. Would enter in AV Puppy or Puppy stakes as well as breed to help get experience for both the pup and me.

ooooo that's a good idea (I've mainly been to breed shows so completely forgot about AV puppy)

am i right in thinking these classes may well clash?  It's only 2-4 quid to enter another class so I'm not too worried if we miss it.

Sometimes at Champ shows they do but not usual at Open shows. It is sometimes possible to do your breed class and then go to the stakes class and still get back to do the challenge if you have been lucky enough to win your class. I you will be wanted in the breed ring again always tell the steward where you are going - also tell a friend so you are sure that someone will fetch you and if you do leave the stakes ring then tell that steward that you wish to go and you will be back.
