hi wondered if any1 has come across this before as i havnt! a small litter of 5 from large breed pups have dubbled their birth weight and look fab, mums first litter and a wonderful mum she did it all herself ,this pup was 1st born mum was stud up when pup was being born so pup dropped out sack broke pup fell to the floor no problems tho but the cord was left long and mum didnt really bother with it (this is not my litter) but the mum is 1 ive bred.
i got there after 1st pup born so sat and watched her have the rest and she did it all and sorted the cords out herself, all the others have fell off but this 1..bitch onwer has just rang to say its starting to come off but looks red were its coming away! im going to go tomorrow and have alook but wonderd if any1 here has had a cord stay on this long ??

Have to say I have always found cords drop off after a day or so.

Mine have always dropped off in a couple of days too.  I would want an experienced breeder to see the pup.

i went to look last night and it looked red ,owner took pup to vets and she was given some AB's vet took the cord off has it was hanging off so fingers crossed all will be ok now :0)

Well I'm sure that she felt better having you look and advise.  We all need a little reassurance at times.  I'm glad that you got her to visit the vet.  :-)
