hi
can anyone give me some advice my puppie has a cold . does any one know what i can give him ,

Dogs don't suffer from colds. As he's only a pup you'd be best to take him to the vet tomorrow.

well i thought they can get colds . well i must be wrong huh

They can get Kennel cough which is Infectious Tracheitis (sp). I suppose you could call it a cold.

Kennel Coiugh has been rife in many parts of the country over the last 3 months, and is very infectious.

It can be serious in puppies and old dogs, progressing to secondary infection, and even Pneumonia.

In most other cases it causes a cough and/or a runny nose, possibly with vomiting. Mild cases respond well to coutgh medicine like childrens Benylin. A dose appropriate for the pups weight.

My 18 month old terrier has just had a bad cold. I took her to the vets, the vet examined her and told me she had a temp, her glands were swollen, her throat was sore (i listened through the stethascope it sounded really horse). I was given a weeks supply of antibiotics for her and she is back to her normal jumping for joy health.
