Am I right in thinking that limit shows don't count towards ShCM?

Don't think they do count but somebody may come along in a moment, you have just got me thinking... say you got enough points for a JW could you use the same points to put towards the SHCM or is the slate wiped clean and you have to start again with the points?

I am glad I'm not the only one with a big question mark tattooed on my forehead...my dog Bean went BIS at a limit show a couple of weeks ago (the first time he has ever won a class, let alone anything else) and I was sure it wouldn't count, not that I feel any less good aboput it. But today he got his very first 'real' point going BOB at an open show so I have logged a note in his file :)

I believe it is at General Open shows/ Group Open shows only for points towards it.

JW points can be included I would have thought as it's still a BOB as you do need Group placings (not puppy Group) to

no they dont count i doubled checked as my boy went ribs at a limit show when he only needed 2 points for his 'shcm'

triona if your dog won a jw point by getting best of breed that point could also be used towards the 'shcm' so no the slate does not get wiped clean you can build up the points for either title (hope i explained that ok)

Limit shows do not count for anything. But well done on the BIS, although no points allocated, it's a fantastic win :-)

You can use the same points to claim your ShCm.  your BOB and group placings count toward the ShCm

eg: you have two x 1st's and a BOB in a show, you would use the 2points from the 1st placings towards your JW and use the BOB point for the ShCm.

the points for JW are breed class wins, rarely BOB's.

ShCM points are only won at Open shows (none for non CC champ shows),a dn are for BOB or BNSC/AVNSC.

So you could use a JW eligible BOB for both JW and ShCM claims.
