Hi my neighbour thinks her dog may be pregnant. 4 weeks ago a chihuahua dug its way into her garden. She never witnessed a tie and never thought anything of it until now. Classic symptoms enlarged abdomen, etc. However her legs are trembling at rest, is this anything to worry about.

At 4/5 weeks can anything be done about the pregnancy?

Yes; the Alizin injections can be given up to 45 days post-mating. Your neighbour should take her bitch to the vet.

Thanks, is the ocassional leg shaking anything to worry about?

Trembling of the legs can be so many things, depending on what breeds she is mixed with 6 years could be old for her?

So if she is 'old' it could be muscle weakness, she could be cold, in pain, be having an allergic reaction, infection, dehydration, blood salt imbalances, the list goes on and on, only a vet can diagnose I'm afraid. :-)
