Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Joint Affix Ownership Query

If you are in a joint affix ownership can you purchase a dog and have it in single ownership and still use the affix name?  If not how do you do this as I've noticed that some breeders do do this and I may be interested in doing similiar at some point.

I believe you can have a joint affix, but also an affix with 'seperate interests', so each person can breed in their own name using the affix, they are different.

Shared ownership of a kennel name involves a single fee and single annual maintainance fee. It is also possible to have a separate interest in a common kennel name. That is two or more people can use an affix in their own right IF they register their separate interest and pay a seperate fee. Each seperate fee is equal to the single fee previously paid.

Clear as mud?

Doh, so we'd both have to pay the 70 odd quid for ownership of the affix then??
