I'm sure JML do a door mat that's non slip , and supposed to clean feet even better than other mats :) Think it's called the magic carpet ? or something similar.

I like my turtle mat but as effective as it is I have never seen it perform quite so spectacularly as when I saw it demonstrated at Crufts, which was what persuaded me to buy it.

If it's as good as they say go for JML--it's less than half the price of a turtle mat

I like Turtle mats - they get better after washing and last years.  Keep an eye open for their sale products or check on eBay/Amazon for genuine Turtle Mats but cheaper prices!

Turtle Mats do nothing for us, we've got rid of ours, well had no choice as they got eaten up ;-)

I've found that the non slip vet bed was a lot better in the end and much cheaper to put down, I thought prettier too with all the colours and paw prints, not so sure that many males would agree with me there, lol

I find redundant bath sheets best for muddy paws, and I keep the hair between the pads trimmed.

I had turtle mats but to be honest they were rubbish! And they moved all over the place when the dogs ran in and out of the back door. I bought some industrial matting in the end that has a thick rubber backing and most of the time it manages to stay put.

My Turtles don't slip on our tiled floor.  Just make sure to choose the correct backing for a hard floor or carpet.  I buy the Classic Mats for the dogs with the latex backing.

I have a long runner (75cm x 150cm) for the back door as I find with 3 dogs charging in and out they need a few 'foot falls' to get properly dry paws in wet weather - any shorter and they'd sometimes hurdle the entire mat and slide into the wall!  I've bought Turtles from Crufts before but also from doormats online via ebay.

Just have to hope I ordered the right one, poor doggies slidinginto the wall but I have seen whispa do it in pursuit of the cat if I dont get there first
