This is already all over the internet but thought it worth putting here too for you to keep your ears open for me.

Lisa were any of your tortoises microchipped? If so it would pay to contact as many vets as possible to spread the word also.

How awful for them to take them all, you must be heartbroken, so sorry. I hope that someone comes forward, how many tortoises is it, are we looking out for someone with 10, 20, 30 or more................

Yes some are microchipped.  I will contact all vets Tuesday morning. All local petshops visited and I have people visiting petshops all across the country.  Police and forensics have been.  South East News been contacted and local papers to be contacted Tuesday.

All 14 were taken.

Lisa it may also be worth putting an ad in the Friday Ad stating that they have been stolen like someone else has about their Tortoise in Reading. So if people are searching and see your ad about stolen ones it may highlight it even more, especially if they see a large number for sale somewhere :-)

No news on finding them yet?

No, no news yet.  Have ID's some that have been found but none of them mine.  Keeping it all crossed tho.

I have had friends all over the country put the notices in their local free ad's (preloved, gumtree etc) so hopefully we have covered a lot of the area.

How awful for you. I only have one and would be so devestated if he were taken. Its the not knowing thats worse and not knowing if they are being cared for properly. Hope you get them all back soon.

Thanks.  There is still no news!  John Hayward says its very rare, with so much publicity, that we havent had at least a sniff of a lead yet.

They must have been stolen to order as they are such an unusual pet with specific requirements.

Just been reading the sun online and see a tortoise was found on the M26 Kent , know it's a long shot but could it be one of yours ?

Thanks for checking but no its not one of mine.  I had seen it online early yesterday but my local paper rang me to check if it was one of mine which was really good of them.
